Eric Martin Kamosi is a creative musician based in Cardiff. He is exploring relationships between music, visual media, digital mediation and movement.
He attended the University of South Wales to complete a B.A. (hons) degree in Creative Sound and Music and has played guitar assiduously since early childhood. Eric enjoys writing in blues, rock, electronic and aleatoric music forms. He also has an interest in computer music, image and sound installation. This led him to study Integrated Media at OCAD University in Toronto. Eric then composed and performed music for the Cardiff based dance company, Earthfall’s award winning ‘Stories From a Crowded Room’ (2015). He later completed an MSc in 'Digital Composition and Performance' (writing and performing generative music with self-written software) at the University of Edinburgh, a media composition traineeship at Modulab studios, Italy and 'Conservatorio di Rovigo Francesco Venezze', Italy, an online second level masters degree at 'Conservatorio di Rovigo Francesco Venezze' and an MMus in 'Electronic Music' at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where he focused on making music for guitar, orchestra, found sounds, and software for screen, interactive audio systems and commercial use.
Eric continues to be interested in collaborating with other artists from different disciplines to make experiences that combine acoustic and electronic sounds, music, visuals, dance and theatre.
He is currently designing software based sound toys for musicians and non-musicians to use together in collaborative performances. Eric continues to write new electronic and acoustic music and enjoys performing.
