I am a guitarist and composer with an interest in sound. I am also interested in exploring relationships between music, sound, code and moving images. While completing a B.A. (hons) degree at the University of South Wales, I listened to music concrete, aleatoric and interactive music alongside more traditional song forms and I looked at the effects of semantics and mediation bias on music. This has caused me to experiment with different sounds and performance styles. I write acoustic and electronic music for guitar, orchestral instruments, self-made field recordings, visuals, movement and self-coded software. I am also designing MAX MSP applications to develop interactive audio-visual installations. I enjoy improvising music on guitar as part of a collaborative composition process as well as making music for visuals and live performances with orchestral instruments, software and field-recordings. I continue to write music for solo guitar, recorded and electronic sounds for visuals and live interdisciplinary performances in ambient, rock, experimental and electronic music styles.
